I provide manual driving lessons in Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth and surrounding areas, helping learners gain confidence on a variety of local roads and preparing them for a life of safe driving locally, nationally and worldwide!
Lessons focus on understanding and developing solid car control, gaining experience on different roads and junctions including residential areas, town, dual carriageways, car parks, country lanes and motorways.
You'll gradually build confidence while improving observation, planning and decision-making skills so you can confidently drive independently. When you are ready, we'll take a drive to a neighbouring town or village to further enhance your skills and confidence.
We'll get you driving on Stevenage roads as soon as you feel ready, starting somewhere quieter such as Hampson Park, St Nicks or Bragbury End to help build your skills and confidence. From there, you'll help shape the journey whether it's parking in Ridlins, mastering the roundabouts of Gunnelswood Road and the A602, or navigating the local residential areas such as Great Ashby, Shephall and the Old Town to name a few.
Whether you'll be driving to the gym in the town centre, grabbing some lunch from the Leisure Park or taking a healthy walk around Fairlands Valley - we'll practice driving to the areas which are genuinely useful and relevant to you!
While learning local test routes can help prepare you for a driving test at Stevenage Driving Test Centre, the focus is always on helping you become a safe and confident driver for everyday life.
Once you are confident at navigating the roads of Stevenage, we could take a drive to Hitchin via the A602 or Letchworth on the A1M. We could keep going and head up to Biggleswade to really get your motorway experience.
We could head the other way and head to Knebworth on the B197, or further afield to Ware on the A602 through Hooks Cross.
It's normal to feel nervous getting behind the wheel. Learning to drive should happen at your pace. If you need more time to practice something so you feel confident - no problem! If you need to revisit something we've done before - sure thing!

Lessons are typically available in 1.5 or 2 hour sessions depending on availability and your preference.

Lessons take place in my dual-controlled Ford Fiesta ST-Line X equipped for learner drivers. The vehicle features seat adjustment, steering rake adjustment, lumbar support and air conditioning to help keep you comfortable during lessons.
Absolutely. Many learners start with no previous driving experience at all.
Yes. Refresher lessons are available for qualified drivers wanting to rebuild confidence or improve specific driving skills.
